Where did the time go?

2 months. Gone. Just like that.
I'm sure it was last week that I was coming home from the hospital, wasn't it?
I feel like I'm missing it. Even though I'm awake 95% of the time through the long nights and lack of naps, it's like it is going by too quick for me to keep track of.
We're getting better though. My multitasking skills are pretty good now too, I can drive and hold a soother in her mouth at the same :) I can blog and make phone calls all at once as well..

Yesterday was Kaydence's 2 month check up (also her 2 month birthday!) Doctor said everything was very good! She's 10.94 Lbs, 58 cm long, and her head is 37 cm around. Which means she gained 2.14 Lbs and grew 4 cm in a month! Doctor said she might have clogged tear ducts because both her eyes are gooey now, but they are getting better.

We've started doing Infant massage classes which are pretty neat. The first class we learned how to massage legs. Kaydence loves this! She just relaxes and looks around all nice and calm.  At yesterday's class we learned how to massage the tummy. What a wat to move gas! It was funny because all the babies were farting a bunch... It's really good though because sometimes she gets gassy and it seems like she's in pain :(

The last few days have been really busy. It takes a long time to get anything done with a grumpy infant!
So today is our relax at home day.. Ha. Relax. Yeah right.. More like wait till baby falls asleep so I rush around and try and get this house back in order. Just like every other day that we are at home... On the plus side I've started downloading episodes of American Idol to watch while I'm nursing. I love that show and haven't watched it in years!

Look Who's Talking!

Ahh goo Ahh goo Ah Ah Ah.
This is Kaydence talking to her toys. She also says Ayakoo which I interpret to mean "I love you" (hey, I can pretend, right?) Today was a very vocal day for her. When she was happy at least. For some reason Miss Fussy Pants was super angry from like 4 till 7 and that was throughout 2 hours of eating. Sigh. Fussy baby + tired mommy does not a good combo make. We got through it though, now she is happily chewing on her sucky in her chair.

Our day started at 5:30 this morning (yippee). I could have slept in but being the paranoid mother that I am, I needed to make sure I didn't sleep too late so I could be at the clinic as soon as it opened. As it turned out, I still had to wait 40 minutes only to find out that Kaydence's eye goop is totally normal and I just need to wash it 4 or 5 times a day. What a relief though.

Silly Smiles

So I haven't posted in forever..
I knew it would be next to impossible to do this and I actually have lots to say...
Kaydence is growing like a weed!! All of a sudden in this past week all of her 0-3 months clothes fit her. up until now she's been wearing newborn clothes, now none of it fits! We were in Dawson Creek the other day and her diaper leaked, I thought 'No problem I have an extra outfit in her diaper bag...' Ha! an extra outfit that was at least an inch too short! So I had to wipe her clothes clean with wet one and let it dry over the heater in the car...

All of a sudden my newborn has disappeared and I have a round chubby little baby!
I can't believe how much she has changed already! She smiles ALL the time and makes so many silly faces and she is learning how to play! she kicks her feet and bats her toys on her playmat, so adorable! the other day I brought her in the bathtub with me and she loved loved loved it! she kicked and splashed and tried to move around a bunch. it was great. it also made her sleep really well that night. I'm glad she loves baths so much. the first one didn't go so well. I made the water too cold because I was using one of those baby tub thermometers and my did she scream!! now she only screams when I take her out of the tub... so much for a relaxing bath.

Today was our first day using cloth diapers. I have to say it's been pretty successful! for some reason disposables just don't fit her right, newborn pampers are too small and they leak. size 1 pampers are too big and they leak. size 1 huggies fit but seem to leak some of the time too. and parents choice fit, don't leak but go had and gross after just the smallest little pee. But cloth diapers are pretty darn great. so far no leaks and they seem to be nicer on her skin too. we'll see but so far I'm impressed.

On the not so happy side of things, poor Kaydence has an eye infection :( I don't understand why or how but today her eye is gooping all over and it makes me sad. It makes her pretty sad too I think. We'll see what the doc has to say tomorrow, hopefully it's okay though.
